Photography Contest to Benefit the Skylight Foundation
Tuesday, June 14, 2016

Skylight is delighted to launch its inaugural Cleveland photography contest dubbed Cleveland Thru the Eyes of Clevelanders.  The contest, which is open to both amateurs and professionals, will highlight certain vibrant areas in the city after which Skylight has named its conference rooms (Gordon Square, Playhouse Square, Little Italy, Tremont, Ohio City and Lake Erie).  At the end of the contest three finalists for each room will be chosen (by judges and a public vote online) and their photographs will then go on display in the in-house art gallery for a six week period.  After this period, the overall winners will be displayed in the individual conference rooms for a seven-eight months before being auctioned to benefit the Skylight Foundation, money which gets put directly back into the community.

Mark Owens, Director of Marketing at Skylight said, “We are extremely excited about this contest which will not only benefit local photographers in the Cleveland community but will benefit the Skylight Foundation which ultimately benefits the entire community.  There’s so many exciting and revitalized neighborhoods in Cleveland and through this contest we would like to see what these areas means to Clevelanders.  Is it a specific landmark that makes an impact or is it the people that make the neighorhood?  We want Clevelanders to express what inspires them.”

If you are interested in submitting a photograph, further information and the official rules can be found here.  Also please feel free to share the attached flyer with details of the contest.

The deadline for entries is June 30th, 2016.  Entries can be directly uploaded here.
