Bringing magic and sparkle to kids this festive season Wednesday, December 23, 2015
Skylight Foundation’s 2015 holiday toy drive, in partnership with Platform Beer Co., Casey's Irish Imports Inc., and Valley Ford Truck Inc., has been a great success and has brought smiles to hundreds of kids in both Cleveland and Columbus. The organizations benefiting from the toy drive, the Cleveland Police and partners of Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland and the Franklin County Children Services (FCCS) and CASA of Franklin County (the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) in Columbus, were thrilled to receive the many gifts that were generously donated.
Steve Thompson, President of the Skylight Foundation, said “We’re delighted with the response to the toy drive and can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity. It reminds us of what this holiday season is really about and what a difference it makes to these children, who otherwise may not have received a gift.”
Jeff Zemito, who served as the internal co-ordinator within Skylight Financial Group, said “This has been our biggest toy drive to date and it was amazing to be able to join the Second District’s annual Christmas party and bring joy and cheer to over 200 children who were so delighted with the gifts they received. Also the Third District has been out and about handing out gifts within the community, even helping a child who lost her house to arson. The impact has been far-reaching in both Cleveland and Columbus and it’s awesome to have been able to help.”
Thanks to everyone who donated!
