Skylight Foundation Presents#LightItUpBlueCLE For a Night to Remember

The Skylight Foundation is delighted to be the presenting sponsor of #LightItUpBlueCLE For a Night to Remember Silent Auction on April 17 to benefit The Heart of Rock and Roll, Cleveland Walk Now for Autism Speaks and Rec2connect for Autism Awareness Month. 

While taking in the spectacular views from Skylight’s Ohio City Rooftop, guests can enjoy great music, networking, informative presentations, hors d’oeuvres (provided by Crop Bistro) and music from HipHop (Hip Hope) artist and violinist, Humble G tha Fiddla. Adding to the night’s excitement, will be guest appearances including Sara Carnes 95.5 The Fish Morning Show Host and Host of Inside the Browns on Newschannel 5. The inspirational author Aaron Broadtsreet and his mother Taff Price who co-authored “Sound Bites: Life Lessons by A Boy Who Has Autism” will join the Benefit for a book signing.

Shane Geisheimer, Director of The Heart of Rock Foundation said, "With the success of the Heart of Rock and Roll Prom held in August 2004, we've been looking for ways to give back to the Special Needs Community and will do so through this great event."

The Heart of Rock Foundation was born out The Heart of Rock and Roll Prom which took place last year and has since grown into an advocate for the Special Needs Community.  The Skylight Foundation has worked in partnership with the Heart of Rock as a sponsor for the Prom and joined with them for several events including The Upside of Downs Buddy Walk, Empower Sports Everybody Wins All-Star Game and The Northeast Ohio Special Needs Conference.  The Heart of Rock and Roll Prom 2015 will take place at Bedford High School on Saturday, August 8th and will host 300 guests and be supported by over 500 volunteers and sponsors.

Cleveland Walk for Now Autism Speaks will host its annual sponsored walk on Sunday August 23 to raise funds to support vital research and top-quality programs that are changing the future for those who struggle with autism.  Rec2connect supports individuals with special needs by providing Recreation and Aquatic Therapy services in Beachwood and Fairview Park.
